A dSLR – How much light can come in form the flash light.

A very dark room – so that way with the light for the exposure.

A tripod – so the camera will focus and stay still so it doesn’t come out blurry.

A human Subject – so you have something to take a picture of and have different poses.

Some sort of flash light – so you can see the subject (for the exposure)

aperture – controls how the flash exposure is recorded.

Focus- Focus before the lights turn off so the picture won’t come out blurry.

Manually calculate – the exposure to set your flash output to match your chosen aperture.

Know how to work it – you should be at the place and pose you want when the flash comes on for the picture to come out good.

To learn how to do it, start off small so you can grow on it and not get frustrated quickly
